I joined the Take A Stitch Tuesday project in 2012 to teach myself embroidery and learn from others; these are my stitches.
Visit this website if you would like to join in with the most recent version, or just have a look at all the beautiful stitching.
After losing it for over 6 months I finally found my joy in embroidery again, and continued with my TAST stitching. This is how my second sampler is looking at the moment: besides adding some stitches I seamed the edges because they were seriously starting to unravel.
You can see all my stitches so far in chronological order here on Flickr; or select ’embroidery’ in the menu in the top of this page.
TAST 2012 Stitch 32: Cast On Stitch
This stitch was a first for me: I’m ashamed to say it but I couldn’t bring myself to finish it :
Apart from french knots (even these I use only sparingly) I really dislike all the knot-type stitches, and this one was no exception. But because it takes relatively long to finish this stitch it’s even more tedious to work. So I made two of them and moved on to the next stitch… (if you look carefully in the first image they are the red dots on the left just below satin stitch).

What a lovely way to experiment with new stitches, I particularly like the butterfly chain stitch.
This is great! Thanks for sharing at this week's Friday Pin Fest! 🙂
Thank you!
It's been so much fun to experiment with these 'new' stitches!
What a great idea almost like a stitching journal! Love it! You are doing great. Don't give up!Thank you so much for joining my party!

What a great sampler! So glad you shared at the Foodies & Crafties Soiree!
You make me want to learn more stitches and I agree with Doni who compares it to a stitching journal! 🙂
They all look great! Thanks for sharing them with us at Sewlicious Home Decor!
