I started knitting this baby blanket thinking that it would most likely be useful sometime soon. I had no idea at the time, but I was knitting it for Little Brother 🙂 After I found out I was pregnant I sped up a bit but it still took me about a year to finish (not knitting continuously, really!)
It’s made with Drops Muskat in an off-white and a dark green. I made the pattern up myself: the border is knit in seed stitch, the body in stockinette with some YO’s and purl rows at regular intervals.
It’s really nice and soft and has a lovely drape. I didn’t get the blocking right though, so it’s not quite a rectangle, and I’m not quite happy with the way I joined the new balls of yarn. Still pretty proud of it though 🙂 My first knit blanket ever, and basically my first knit thing that’s bigger than a scarf 😀
I got the yarn from Hobbydoos, it’s Muskat by Drops, 100% egyptian cotton, in the colourways naturel and bottle green.
